FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What is USCity.review?
USCity.review is an independent guide that rates and ranks cities and towns across the United States. We combine public data with reviews from people who actually live in, work in and visit each place.
Which cities are included?
Every incorporated city, town, village and borough recognized by the U.S. Census Bureau is included, from the largest metros to communities with only a few dozen residents.
Where does your city data come from?
Population, land area, coordinates and ZIP codes come from the U.S. Census Bureau. Details such as elevation, founding year, official websites and images are enriched from Wikidata, a free and open knowledge base.
How are cities rated and ranked?
Rankings blend objective measures, like population and density, with reviews from our community. We publish how scores are calculated so you can judge the results for yourself.
Do I need an account to use the site?
No. Anyone can search and browse cities. A free account lets you save your activity and take part in reviews once you have verified your email address.
Why do you ask me to verify my email address?
Verification keeps fake accounts and spam out of our community, which keeps ratings honest for everyone.
How do I find a city that shares its name with other places?
Use the state, county, place type and population filters on the city search page, or search for "City, ST" (for example "Springfield, IL"). You can also search by a 5-digit ZIP code.
I found an error in a city listing. How do I report it?
Please use our contact form and include the city name and state. Our staff review every correction request.
